Celebrating vegetables loud and proud is a big part of what The Veg Space is all about, so I’m properly excited to be sharing news with you of a new cookbook which is out today. A blogging friend Kate (great name) writes the fabulous blog Veggie Desserts which is all about putting vegetables into cakes, muffins, biscuits, tarts, brownies, pastries and even ice cream, and also features healthy vegetarian and vegan meals, all full of vegetables, of course.
Veggie Desserts + Cakes by Kate Hackworthy is published by Pavilion Books, RRP £14.99. The idea behind the book is that veggies bring moisture, natural sweetness and extra nutrients to baking. Avocados make a Continue reading “Recipe: Vegan Avocado Lime Tarts”
One of the (many) great things about veganism’s recent surge in popularity is the huge range of new vegan cookbooks arriving on the shelves. If you follow this blog you won’t have been allowed to miss the news of my book Vegan in 15 being published in January, (sorry!), and today I’m sharing with you a new book from fellow blogger Sharon from Bit of the Good Stuff.
Sharon’s book Bit of the Good Stuff is subtitled “over 100 plant-powered recipes for all the family to enjoy”, and it does exactly what it promises – Continue reading “Recipe: Cranberry & Orange Florentines (Vegan) + Book Review”
Forgive a rather self-indulgent publicity post, but I’m really excited to share with you that my new book, ‘Vegan in 15‘ is released TODAY!! It does exactly what it says on the cover – quick and easy plant-based recipes that will be on the table in under 15 minutes, and are exceedingly tasty too.
Working on the book with the lovely people at Short Books has been a bit of a whirlwind, (whilst also expecting a baby which is due any day now!), but an awful lot of fun, and we’ve been eating our way through these recipes for many months on end, (and still are – see my Instagram feed this month….).

So, things have been a little quiet around here this month, I hope you’ve missed me(!). The reason for this brief absence is that I’ve been scurrying around posting recipes and articles elsewhere instead. If you’re a regular reader, you will know that I’ve teamed up with Cranks in the past on some exciting projects, (like this one), and so I was thrilled when they invited me to do a ‘website takeover’ for the month of April, writing recipes and blog posts on their site, on the theme of ‘eating seasonally’.
I’ve been posting these on Facebook and Twitter, but just in case you’ve missed any of my posts, here’s a quick roundup:

Another manic month has hurtled past in a bit of a blur, with Easter celebrations, too much chocolate, and an awful lot of hot cross buns.
Here’s my end-of-month roundup of what’s gone on in my kitchen, and some fabulous foodie finds I’ve been sent to review. Plus your chance to win some rather beautiful and incredibly good-quality knives. Read on!

I think February has been my busiest blogging month since records began, (well, 2011). Lots of lovely brand collaborations, giveaways, and some great engagement on social media, (especially the awesome Finding Vegan community), which has led to the highest ever traffic visiting my little veggie corner of the blogosphere. I think I need a lie down. Continue reading “February 2016: Recipes & Reviews (& Organic Carob Superfood Hamper Giveaway RRP £35)”
Well this is embarrassing. It is a whole week since January (Veganuary) ended and I’ve only just got around to this ‘Recipes & Reviews’ post. I’m sure the suspense has been unbearable. As always, here’s a whistle-stop tour of my most popular recipes of the month, lovely books I have been sent to review, and all sorts of yummy things which have popped through my letterbox. Continue reading “January (Veganuary!) 2016: Recipes & Reviews”
Well wasn’t November fun?! It started for me with a fab holiday in Norfolk – blustery walks on the beach, chips on Cromer pier, plenty of tea & cake and a cosy holiday cottage. Since then it has been a bit of a hectic month, with lots of lovely recipe development jobs and blog posts keeping me busy in the kitchen, and some fun violin-playing work keeping me busy in the evenings!
I was so chuffed to jump up Foodies100, the UK Food Blog rankings this month, to no. 88! (To put that in context, last month I was at 274 and in June I was at 532!). Finally feels like some hard work is paying off, and your interest, support, lovely comments and social shares and likes continue to make it all worthwhile. Thanks so much!

Another month has whizzed by and Autumn is drawing in. Here’s a quick look back at some of the lovely things I’ve eaten, read, cooked and been sent to review in the past month. Continue reading “A Month in Review: September (& Spiralizer + Cookbook Giveaway – RRP £39!)”
